Orfeia’s director, Tatiana Sarbinska, is known internationally for her singing, conducting, and teaching.

Concerts

Orfeia was honored to be part of the Celebration of 100 years of Bulgarian Independence at the Library of Congress on September 19, 2008. The event, sponsored by the Ambassador of Bulgaria and the Librarian of Congress, was attended by almost 200 people.

Orfeia performed in June as part of Maryland Traditions presents Maryland Masters: Down the Street and Around the World A Global Showcase of Traditional Performance. The Concert showcased artists awarded Maryland Tradition's Mentor/Protege awards. Orfeia member Elin Zurbrigg and Artistic Director Tatiana Sarbinska were 2007/2008 recipients.
